25 Truths For Working Women To Remember In 2025

Here are some truths that have helped me in my career and personal life  over the years. I wanted to share them as the year begins to help you navigate 2025 successfully.

  1. Your voice matters. Speak up during meetings and share your views.
  2. Don’t compare yourself to others. Your journey is uniquely yours.
  3. Your career is a marathon, not a sprint. Build it sustainably by focusing on long-term goals.
  4. Do not be afraid to take calculated risks. Step outside of your comfort zone and go after new opportunities.
  5. Avoid procrastination. Prioritize tasks, set deadlines, and take action.
  6. Seek guidance and support from others who are already where you want to be. Find a mentor who inspires you.
  7. Stay updated on trends in your industry. It will help you stay competitive.
  8. Get more than one stream on income. Ecclesiastes 11 vs. 2 says, “Divide your investments among many places, for you do not know what risks might lie ahead.
  9. Learn to ask for help. Save time by delegating tasks and automating others. Don’t waste time by always trying to figure out everything on your own.
  10. Mentor others. Share your knowledge and experience with others in and outside of your field.
  11. Don’t overcommit. Learn to say no politely and strategically.
  12. Celebrate your wins, big or small.
  13. Rest is productive. Take breaks to replenish your energy and refuel your creativity and productivity.
  14. Live within your means.
  15. Build a strong network by connecting with others in your field and attending industry events.
  16. Failure is a learning opportunity. Embrace it and use it as a stepping stone.
  17. Know your worth and do not undervalue your skills and experience.
  18. Prioritize yourself health and well-being through physical exercise, regular health checkups, and other self care activities.
  19. Learn to negotiate. It could be a raise, time off, a promotion or equitable division of labor in your household, learn.
  20. Be adaptable because the workplace is constantly evolving.
  21. Do it, afraid, do it trembling, just do it.
  22. You are capable of great things. Believe in yourself.
  23. Seek feedback on your work.
  24. You are capable of doing hard things. Face hard things early, no matter how uncomfortable.
  25. Believe in yourself. You can do great things.
