What is the real reason we start postponing things that we could start right now to next year? What exactly is going to change between now and January 2026 other than the dates on the calendar?

The True Cost of Building
I thought I was ready to build, plans approved, bricks delivered, confidence high. Then all my materials vanished into the foundation, and I learned an important life lesson, every great thing costs more than you expect.
The stories that didn’t make the highlight reel.
When the big wins feel few and the year feels shorter than your to-do list, remember His grace didn’t take a break. It showed up in laughter, in breath, and in the strength to try again. This is a reflection on the gifts that never made the highlight reel yet made all the difference.
He Sees You
A slave girl in the wilderness running away from a mistress who was ill-treating met with God. He called her by name, gave her a promise, and she declared Him El Roi, the God who sees me. He sees you too, right where you are.
Brave or Crazy?
Bravery and madness often look identical at the start. What determines the label isn’t the action itself but the outcome and the perspective of those watching. The bravest thing you can do is take the step anyway, knowing that progress rarely comes from playing it safe.
Creating Margin
A packed calendar doesn’t always mean a productive life. Creating margin is the intentional practice of leaving white space in your day to rest, think, and focus on what matters most. Block time for deep work, mark important personal commitments like school runs, and protect focus hours with “do not disturb” just as you would a board meeting. Margin is not wasted time, it is what keeps you energized, creative, and able to deliver at your best.
Their Story Is Not Your Story
Just because someone else failed doesn’t mean you will. Learn from others’ stories, but don’t let their failure inspire fear and define your future.
You Are Capable Of Much More
In September last year, after ten years, our live-in helper gave us notice that she wanted to move on. She came to live with us when the twins were a month old, and they recently turned eleven. Initially, I panicked. How would I even begin looking for someone, train them, and get them to theContinueContinue reading “You Are Capable Of Much More”
Remembering My Father’s Voice
It’s Father’s Day weekend. And it’s also four years since my own father passed on. Grief is strange in that it wraps itself around days like this. Anchored
I grew up in a landlocked country. The nearest lake was hundreds of kilometers away from where I was born. So, for much of my early life, I had no practical understanding of boats, how they worked, how they stayed still, or why they didn’t drift away with every passing current or gust of wind.ItContinueContinue reading “Anchored”
The Self-Made Illusion
We often celebrate the idea of being “self-made,” but is anyone truly self-made? Even Jesus, in fulfilling His divine mission, relied on a close circle of people from disciples to friends and supporters. This post unpacks the myth of individual success and highlights the power of community, support, and God-ordained relationships in our personal and professional journeys. It’s time we traded self-sufficiency for grace-filled interdependence.
I did it, afraid!
Courage doesn’t come before the leap!
Because Sunday Always Comes!
Ever since my father passed, seasons like Easter, Christmas, and even my birthday feel different. Driving home, knowing he will not be there to welcome us, is something I will never get used to. I miss his warm welcome, his stories, and his presence. The ache of missing him comes in quiet waves. But even in that grief, Easter still carries hope.

Trust God to keep doors that you shouldn’t be walking into closed!
Not all opportunities are really meant for you and that’s okay. Sometimes it’s not easy to decide which opportunities to pursue and which to ignore. When I am faced with such decisions as a woman of faith, my prayer is always Lord close and lock the doors that I shouldn’t be walking into. You can trust Him to do that and order and direct your footsteps. Read my personal testimony.
