Rain, Traffic And Power Outages… Not Always A Bad Thing!
Continuous rain comes with its fair share of inconveniences. Children’s school extra mural activities were canceled all week! Kids were stuck indoors, and that’s when the screen time battles began. And please don’t get me started on traffic, because somehow, the moment it rains, as drivers we seem to collectively lose their ability to drive! And of course, with that much rain, the electricity outages follow. Always. Without fail!
But even the rain has its lessons.
Bold moves and big wins: 2024 reflections
Today’s post is a testimony of my gratitude to God for the year 2024.
Tomorrow…
We don’t win every day. Some days humble us and remind us we are human. And when we don’t make it, we need to dig deeper and give it another try, …tomorrow. Tomorrow is an open door we walk through every morning, despite the failures of the day before. All that is required from us is to show up, ready to try again.
The stories we tell ourselves…
Your internal dialogue is more than just fleeting thoughts. It shapes your actions, your beliefs, and ultimately your destiny. Being aware of your thoughts, identifying those that limit you, and rewriting them to align with your desired future will help you transform your life.
Navigating Career Transitions Successfully
Changing careers is normal, and countless people do it every day. It’s a choice to design the life you want. It’s a reminder that you are allowed to evolve, change directions, and chase after something new. We all deserve careers that excite us, challenge us, pay well, and make us proud.

Each graduate was asked to provide a citation of their achievements during the two year program and their career goals going forward. I had some really good achievements of projects I had led successfully. My problem was writing about it and having it readContinueContinue reading “Can you own your success?”
Fit your own mask first….
Pre flight, aviation operators always announce that in case of emergency, you should fit your own oxygen masks first before assisting children or anyone else who might need help. You know why? Because without your own mask fitted, you cannot assist anyone else. As a mother it comes naturally for me to put the needsContinueContinue reading “Fit your own mask first….”

As part of the re-invention of this blog i am going to do a series on various ‘mums in stilettos’ from different parts of the world and how they are managing to keep all their balls in the air. This week I will feature a mom based in Brisbane Australia. Unlike our part of theContinueContinue reading “Meet Rudo- Being authentically herself”
No more toiling…
Tomorrow is the 31st of December 2017. It also happens to be our 10th wedding anniversary. Such moments always make me reflect on the past. I celebrate my victories but i also look for learnings and see what i could have done better. I read somewhere (paraphrased) that success is a lousy teacher that seducesContinueContinue reading “No more toiling…”
