Bravery and madness often look identical at the start. What determines the label isn’t the action itself but the outcome and the perspective of those watching. The bravest thing you can do is take the step anyway, knowing that progress rarely comes from playing it safe.

Shinning Without Overshadowing: Navigating Power Dynamics In The Workplace
I recently came across a post on LinkedIn about one of the most quoted and debated laws in Robert Greene’s The 48 Laws of Power. Law 1 says, “Never outshine the master.” The idea is simple, make your superiors feel superior. Don’t threaten their status. After decades in corporate, I understand the principle and haveContinueContinue reading “Shinning Without Overshadowing: Navigating Power Dynamics In The Workplace”
Entrepreneur vs. Employee
Entrepreneurship is often marketed as the ultimate dream. Social media coaches who are trying to sell you their products will tell you that working a 9-to-5 job means building someone else’s dream, and running your own business is positioned as the key to financial freedom. Corporate life is painted as restrictive, and being accountable to a boss is looked down on. In some instances, there are also stories of toxic workplaces and narcissistic bosses.
If you flip the coin, those who are “killing” it in corporate will share only their wins, their latest promotions, all the big and impactful projects they are working on and hashtag their posts with #greatplacetowork. Lately, though, for everyone celebrating their promotion or new role, there is someone who has been laid off and has been looking for a new role for months without success.
So which path should you take? Read on to find out!
Do you really need to study for an MBA in 2025? Weighing the pros and cons
If I had invested the ~$10 000 that I paid in tuition fees for my MBA in Tesla’s initial IPO in June 2010, i would have bought approximately 588 shares at $17 per share. Tesla has since undergone 2 stock splits. 5 for 1 in August 2020 and 3 for 1 in August 2022. These splits would have increased my share count to around 8 823. As of today, 25 January 2025, the Tesla share is ~$406 per share. An investment of $10 000 would be valued at $3 582 352,94! Obviously, this is a very simplified calculation that does not include transaction costs, potential dividends, and taxes, but I am sure you get the idea.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t regret studying for my MBA when I did. As someone who mentors many young professionals, I believe it’s important to present both sides of the argument.

Tomorrow…
We don’t win every day. Some days humble us and remind us we are human. And when we don’t make it, we need to dig deeper and give it another try, …tomorrow. Tomorrow is an open door we walk through every morning, despite the failures of the day before. All that is required from us is to show up, ready to try again.
The stories we tell ourselves…
Your internal dialogue is more than just fleeting thoughts. It shapes your actions, your beliefs, and ultimately your destiny. Being aware of your thoughts, identifying those that limit you, and rewriting them to align with your desired future will help you transform your life.

Trust God to keep doors that you shouldn’t be walking into closed!
Not all opportunities are really meant for you and that’s okay. Sometimes it’s not easy to decide which opportunities to pursue and which to ignore.
